ABOUT:

Kyra Limberakis is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Orthodox Volunteer Corps. She previously served as Director of the CrossRoad Summer Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross. She received her bachelor's degree from Villanova University and her Master of Theological Studies from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, where she focused her studies on youth and young adult ministry and the ministry of women in the church. Kyra’s experience in Orthodox youth work spans 10+ years. In addition to working in full-time ministry, Kyra has published articles and given several talks on the topic of young women’s faith formation. Kyra, her husband and their son attend St. Mary Orthodox Church in Cambridge, MA.

Presbytera Sophia is from Kenosha, Wisconsin and graduated from Hellenic College with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2014. That same year, she moved to Mexico, married, and, with her new husband, worked as the building and volunteer coordinator for Project Mexico. With their first child they returned to HCHC in 2016 where her husband graduated as a seminarian. They spent three years working at a church in West Virginia and returned to Mexico and "the ranch" in 2022 where they now live with their five children. She has lived in Mexico for a total of five years. She is a homeschooling mother of five, loves to garden, chase down chickens, bake sweets all day when possible, and teaches catechism classes on subjects like "Fractals of Creation" in Spanish. She is grateful for a full life in Christ.  


Fr. Evan Armatas

About: Father Evan Armatas earned a Philosophy degree from Boston College (1991) and a Master of Divinity from Holy Cross (2002). After serving as an assistant priest, he became St. Spyridon's first full-time priest in 2007, growing it into a thriving parish. In 2002, he founded the St. Nektarios Education Fund, which has built five schools in Africa and aided over 5,000 students. He hosts Orthodoxy Live on Ancient Faith Radio and has authored Toolkit for Spiritual Growth (2019) and Reclaiming the Great Commission (2022). A sought-after speaker, he has taught at Colorado Christian University and Holy Cross Seminary. Father Evan and his wife, Presbytera Anastasia, have four children and live in Fort Collins, CO, where they enjoy skiing, fishing, and hiking.
